Our Vision

Communities in northern Taos County faces challenges that are multifaceted and pervasive. Resilient solutions are best achieved through a holistic systems approach. Localogy is an award-winning, cross-sector collaborative of charitable initiatives serving northern New Mexico. By pooling administrative resources, Localogy empowers passionate individuals and groups to focus their efforts on creating the maximum programmatic impact. Our projects coalesce organically, and are led by members of the communities they serve. These grassroots initiatives are responsive to emergent needs and are most efficient in delivering authentic solutions.

Our Mission:

Localogy moves people and communities from passive consumption to being active producers of local livelihoods and culture.

How we Work

Our history

Localogy formed in 2008 to support the fundraising efforts of the Sangre de Cristo Youth Ranch. Our founders, Dr. Bud Wilson, Daniel Hutchison, Claire Cote, Wyman Edwards, and Betsy Pierce. This group of community members saw an opportunity in incorporating as a non-profit to help projects around the community access the resources of a non-profit without having to each form their own. The commonality of the projects underpin self-reliance through interdependence. We aim to support a culture that drives capacity for people to meet their needs.

Early projects supported by Localogy included youth programming, media, film making, art collaboration and education, experimental sustainability projects and more. Today Localogy supports projects across four domains of focus - youth programming, agriculture, community development, and media/arts. We also serve as a fiscal sponsor - supporting grant processing to organizations and individuals who have small projects aligned with our mission.
