Our vision is to build a food forest movement in the arid mountain west by starting with a mutual-aid network of demonstration sites, events, and resources in the Taos area.

Our mission is to create and expand food forests and similar polycultures as a means of building resilient food sources and ecosystem health.

How we work

  • We study both tradition and innovation to find biologically and culturally appropriate growing systems.

  • We use free or nominal-fee education, facilitation, research, and community collaboration to nurture interested growers, volunteers, and informed-and-experienced stewards, designers, and facilitators.

  • We help maintain access to natural and material resources.
